Big Triku ‘Christmas Tree’

We searched all day to

find a Christmas tree. Our first

day spent together.

~

There are fleeting moments when

the whirlwind stops, and silence pours back

in, just me, the cat, the tree.

~

Points of light pierce through,

I find myself again in

memories of you.

Big Triku ‘Us’

We are

                                               lost.

Found.

                  Free.

Full.

                                               Lost.

Washed up

      in the lee.

~

We freeze

      as sheer

            translucent

waves,

      pounding down,

            atomised,

                  clothing

savage rocks in

      seething

            white.

~

We

      matter.

~

Let’s

      fill

our

      hearts

and

      face

the

      future

            walking

      hand

in

      hand.

Big Triku ‘Brexit’

Is courage reckless?

Is pragmatism courage?

Is turning wisdom?

~

What did we sing we would not

be? Did we not want to build anew?

Self-respect? Or equity?

~

Do we fear money?

Maybe our friends do too. We

should learn together.
