Big Triku ‘Christmas Flutters’

Damp and gloomy here,

somewhere in a frozen air,

snow falls thick and cold.

~

I close my eyes and find I‘m

there, a billion snowflakes circling round

my cabin on the mountain.

~

Inside my own snow

globe, crackling fire inside, I

watch the world of white.

Big Triku ‘Christmas Tree’

We searched all day to

find a Christmas tree. Our first

day spent together.

~

There are fleeting moments when

the whirlwind stops, and silence pours back

in, just me, the cat, the tree.

~

Points of light pierce through,

I find myself again in

memories of you.

Big Triku ‘Dreamscapism’

In the heavy dark,

fractals flux and scintillate,

vibrating colours.

~

Time disperses, light floods in,

lands drift past, voices resonate, and

warmth cascades and fills all space.

~

I float, gently on.

Blackness crumbles in the past,

enveloped in ice.

Big Triku ‘The Park’

Cumulonimbi

darken behind the park’s trees

and their golden leaves.

~

Model yachts broach, dogs yelp, hats

blow off and people chase them laughing

in the wind, voices sparkling.

~

Sudden gust, raindrops,

people scatter smiling with

blurred, watery eyes.

Note: This poem is a spin off concept from the poem ‘Bubble, World’ (Menu, Poems, ‘Bubble World’) 🙂

Big Triku ‘Wave Period’

Leaves whirled fast, scraping

in receding currents, to

gather by the oak.

~

The world was such a wonder.

I doubt I thought how small I was, nor

of my life beyond the fence.

~

Puddles freeze. Clear ice

is cracked, chipped, then pressed opaque

by new probing toes.
